Iris was one of fifteen kids from Monroeville Elementary selected to represent the school at the annual Young Author conference held at Northrop High School. Iris wrote and illustrated a story about Rapunzel. Her whole class wrote stories based on fairy tales. Iris wrote from Rapunzel’s point of view.

Job Shadow Day

Atticus job shadowed my uncle “Dude Walker” at K105 today. He got to hang out with the morning show crew for a few hours and even got to play his guitar on the radio.

EF Tours Meeting

Atticus had been getting ready for his trip this summer to France, Spain, and Italy. He will be earning high school credit for the trip. As part of the credit requirements, Atticus did a presentation on French history.

Reading with Sirius

Blowing Bubbles

Iris got bubbles in her Easter basket this morning and we finally had some nice weather so she could go outside and play.

Winter Wonderland

We got lots of snow last night. It was a really wet sticky snow so it stuck all over the trees in the yard. It wasn’t that cold out either so the kids played outside most of the day.

This is the huge sycamore tree at the side of our property.
Sirius didn’t like the snow, but still felt the need to walk down the street with me to check it out.
Iris is becoming quite the snowman builder with all the snow we’ve had this winter.
Atticus is a huge help around the house and shoveled all of our walks today.

New Cousin

Jon’s sister Cassie had baby Robert on February 8. We visited Cassie and Robert in the hospital and the kids were so excited to hold him.

Cooper helps fix the freezer

Jon vacuumed out the space underneath our fridge and freezer this morning and Cooper decided she needed to help as well.
